Spirited Away (2001)
“Once you’ve met someone, you never really forget them.”
mythological species - vampires
Does “some cultures” mean Van Helsing, or is there a tradition where werewolf bites can kill vampires? Most of the myths I read conflated the two creatures. Time for me to do more research!
The Vampire Diaries picked up the werewolf bite killing vampires bit. I know in Serbia, if a werewolf dies, it turns into a vampire, but for the most part, as far as I know, transmission through biting by a werewolf is a relatively recent development in werewolfery (the same as with silver bullets, which didn’t show up until somewhere around 1930-something). It’s usually a curse or by putting on a wolf-skin.
I know in Underworld they mention a bite from both species kill.
Another common cause for werewolves is being the seventh son of a seventh son, if I remember correctly. I’m fairly sure that goes a while back (Not many people have seven children) But it was shown in the contemporary book The Reformed Vampire Support Group.
I’m only 78% sure these are accurate but hey, there you go.
